Iran – Please, No Nukes

There is no need for a broad war with Iran. All that is required is the surgical elimination of a few of their nuclear power plants. There is no need to destroy their underground research labs. Just a quick bombing of perhaps two of their surface nuclear power facilities would be enough to end this conflict. A nuclear plant costs billions to build but can be heavily damaged or ruined with million dollar cruise missiles by remote control. After America destroys one or two of Iran's nuclear plants the game will end and they will negotiate. If America fails to act aggressively we will live to regret it.

Are you serious? If only it were that easy...If we tried to do that to Iran, China, Venezuela and other countries were be on our backs, defending Iran and possibly retaliating.

I don't think China would retaliate, the panda enjoys us too much as a trading partner. Chavez is a bit of a loose cannon, but he needs the oil revenue as badly as we need his oil.

In the long run Iran is not building nukes to defend against Iraq or Afghanistan. They want the weapon so that they control the mid-east with a hammer. Including Israel.

If we fail to confront Iran now we'll have allowed another monster on the world stage.

Frankly we should have never allowed any other nation to develop nukes after WWII. We had a moment in history where we could have stopped all nuclear weapon development. It was the biggest mistake made after the war.

Like your plan saltworks. But of course we should send the first bomb down Abadaminajad's collar when he is receiving his instructions from his mullars. And if Chavez had anything to say, do the same to him. Then do the same to Kim Jong Li as he watches his million man army parade by. ;o)
